Everett Government Operations (Monday April 27, 2026)
The committee took up National Grid’s petition to install underground facilities at and around 313 Elm Street, including conduit, manholes, and related equipment along Charlotte Street and Broadway. Members and officials discussed construction sequencing, staging, traffic and driveway access, pavement restoration, notice to businesses and residents, and whether daytime or nighttime work would be used; Capone, Garcia, and Pietrantonio all voted in favor, and the project recommendation was approved.

The council dealt with National Grid and Verizon pole petitions in the Second Street/Boston Street area, and the underground conduit petition on Tileston Street and Broadway was sent to committee.
