The council approved accepting and expending a $475,000 Massachusetts Gaming Commission grant for Everett Square improvements, with members clarifying the vote was only for grant acceptance and not the later full improvement plan. Stephanie Smith, Holly Garcia, Peter Pietrantonio, Wayne Matewsky, Katy Rogers, Stephanie Martins, and Anthony DiPierro all voted yes, and Martins also made the favorable-action motion.
